Hymn to A Chocolate Cake
Just as I was feeling blue,
A chocolate cake sprang into my view.
Whoever made it, I don't know you,
But take my compliment, this is cordon bleu.
I smiled a smile with every chew;
It's even more precious than Jimmy Choo.
Now I feel like there's nothing I can't do:
I can violate a taboo,
Battle a kangaroo,
Survive among all the hullabaloo.
Now you know this is tried and true:
Sweets are something we can attend to.
In me, an unruly infatuation sweeps through--
O Chocolate Cake! Never bid me adieu.
A chocolate cake sprang into my view.
Whoever made it, I don't know you,
But take my compliment, this is cordon bleu.
I smiled a smile with every chew;
It's even more precious than Jimmy Choo.
Now I feel like there's nothing I can't do:
I can violate a taboo,
Battle a kangaroo,
Survive among all the hullabaloo.
Now you know this is tried and true:
Sweets are something we can attend to.
In me, an unruly infatuation sweeps through--
O Chocolate Cake! Never bid me adieu.
